App and Custom Development

Custom app development

Stuck with a site, system or app that no longer fits?

Most people come to us when something is already costing them time or customers. We start by working out why it is under-performing, then build the fix: a new application, a rebuilt website or a smarter connection between the systems you already own. Since 2000 we have done this for Australian organisations, with developers across the Microsoft suite, modern web frameworks and AI.

  • A slow or outdated website

We rebuild or optimise WordPress and legacy sites so they load quickly, work properly on mobile and increase conversions.

  • Better search rankings

Server-rendered pages, clean markup and structured data help your website appear first in search results, and give Google and other AI answer engines something to read and cite.

  • Databases that talk to each other

We connect SQL Server, SharePoint, your CRM and any 3rd party applications through REST API's, so information is entered once and appears everywhere.

  • Getting your business mobile and in the cloud

We turn the processes you already run into a mobile app, allowing realtime connectivity between teams in the field.

Next.js and React

Custom web applications with Next.js and React

When a project needs speed, search visibility and complete control over the user experience, we build with Next.js and React. Server-side rendering gives fast first loads and pages that search engines can read, while React keeps even complex interfaces responsive and easy to maintain.

  • Portals for customers and staff

Secure sign-in, role-based access, dashboards and document exchange, so people can help themselves instead of emailing your team.

  • Quoting, booking and workflow tools

Validated forms, approvals and automatic calculations that replace error-prone spreadsheets and email chains.

  • Microsoft 365 and API integration

Live connections to SharePoint, Outlook, Dataverse, SQL Server and third-party systems through Microsoft Graph and REST APIs.

  • Legacy rebuilds

Access databases, Excel workbooks and ageing ActiveX or VBScript tools rebuilt as modern, browser-based applications.

Web portals

Web portals in WordPress, SharePoint and your CRM

Not every portal needs to be built from scratch. Where WordPress, SharePoint or a CRM already sits at the centre of your business, we extend it, so your team keeps the system they know and your customers get a better experience.

  • WordPress portals

    Content-led

Custom plugins and themes, member-only areas, searchable directories and forms that write to your back-office data.

  • CRM development and integration

    Customer records

Customisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other CRM platforms, plus integrations so sales, service and operations all work from the same records.

  • Secure sign-in

    Access

Single sign-on so people use the account they already have. We connect Microsoft Entra ID tenants, Google sign-in or Auth.js (NextAuth) to your application, with role-based access so each person sees only what they should.

    Intranets

Branded intranets, team sites and document libraries with custom web parts, structured permissions and lists that feed your apps and automations.

  • Internal messaging and Teams automation

    Collaboration

Custom internal messaging, alerts and approvals, built as Microsoft Teams automations with Power Automate or as a chat feature inside your own application.

How we work

From first conversation to ongoing support

Our business requirements analysis is what sets our projects apart. Getting the brief right first means the software you receive is the software you needed.

  1. Business analysis

We map your processes and requirements before any code is written.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1.

What types of custom applications do you build?

We build web applications and portals, internal business tools, quoting and booking systems, dashboards, integrations between systems and AI-powered agents. Projects use Next.js and React, WordPress, CRM platforms, the Microsoft Power Platform, .NET or a combination, depending on what suits your requirements and budget.
Q2.

Should we build with Next.js, WordPress or the Power Platform?

It depends on the job. WordPress suits content-led sites, the Power Platform is usually the fastest route for internal apps and workflows on Microsoft 365, and Next.js suits bespoke, high-performance applications. Our business analysts compare the options against your requirements before you commit.
Q3.

Can you build a customer or partner portal with Power Pages?

Yes. We design the Dataverse data model, security roles and table permissions, then build and brand the portal and connect it to Power Automate for approvals and notifications. External users sign in and see only the records they are entitled to.
Q4.

Can you integrate with our existing CRM?

In most cases, yes. We connect CRM platforms to SharePoint, Outlook, SQL Server, Dataverse and your own applications through APIs, so records stay consistent across systems. We can also customise Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other CRMs. Tell us which platform you use and we will confirm the approach.
Q5.

Can you add AI to an application we already use?

Yes. We can add features such as document summarising, email triage, data extraction and chat assistants to existing applications, using Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or custom agents. Each solution includes human review for important decisions, plus logging so you can see what the AI has done.
Q6.

Do your AI agents have to run inside our Microsoft tenant?

No. Our programmers build custom agents in Python and JavaScript that can run outside your tenant and connect to your systems securely. If you would rather keep everything within Microsoft 365, we can build with Copilot Studio and Power Automate instead.
Q7.

Can you fix an app or automation we started building ourselves?

Yes. We regularly repair and finish Power Apps, Power Automate flows, scripts and web applications that were started in-house or built with AI tools and then stalled. We review what exists, fix faults and security gaps, and bring it to a standard you can rely on.
Q8.

How is custom development priced?

We can work to a fixed quote once requirements are clear, or at an hourly rate for smaller or evolving work. A short business analysis stage helps us define the scope accurately, so the quote reflects what you actually need.
Q9.

Do you provide support after the solution goes live?

Yes. We offer ongoing support, enhancements and tailored training, delivered by remote access or onsite. Our developers are based across Australia, so you will usually deal with someone in your own time zone.
